For me, 2019 is off to a great start. But before I even go there, here’s the last Mosaic I did of 2018:
This Mosaic Frame is a Custom Piece for a Neighbor tuned Friend turned Client!! I am very proud of this Mosaic!!
The first Mosaic of 2019 is also a Picture Frame. this one is a more intricate Picture Frame than I have done!!
This Mosaic was so much fun to design. I think that the Beads truly make the Frame!!
Now, coming down the pike, I have a few custom projects that I just need to get color conformations on so that I can start working on them. One is a Sign, One is a Cutting Board and one is a Plate. These first three months of 2019 are going to be busy!!
I will be out of the Studio for 10 days starting Saturday Jan 12 on a much needed Family Vacation. When I get back, I will start on these Projects!!
I realize that I did not blog last month, and I probably left you in the lurch about what was happening with me. Well, there’s a reason for that.
On May 27, 2018, Historic Ellicott City was walloped with a second massive Flood. All last month, I was making EC Hearts and selling them for $5 to help Historic Ellicott City recover.
I was displaced for three weeks and a day. I am doing my part to help my Neighbors, Friends and Clients by selling these hearts.
Prior to the Flood, I was working on a few Projects:
First, I finished the Jackalope
I wanted to do a Mosaic with a South Western flare to it. This was the Perfect fit.
Next, I Started a Framed piece:
I am still not sure what will go in this Frame, but I think it looks great so far.
Finally, the Mosaic that I started the day of this most recent Flood
Just goes to show you what you can do with all those old buttons you have lying around your home.
It’s hard to believe this year marks my seventh year as a Mosaic Artist. I have been here in Historic Ellicott City for Four of those Seven Years. I am thankful to ALL OF YOU for helping me through the tough times and celebrating with me through the good times. It is YOU, Dear Reader, who keeps me going. So, from the bottom of my Heart: THANK YOU!! Here’s to the Seven years that have passed and Here’s to Many, Many More to come!!
